In 1999 I completed the Studios 5c building in downtown Tempe. Prior to the arrival of the light rail, the regional transit station across the street, the College Avenue Commons building (coming in 2014), and the new high-rise residential development along College Avenue – the Studios 5c building blazed new ground. Retail along the ground floor screens a parking garage and three levels of creative office space above is all modeled on an urban warehouse concept. High-bay space on the second floor contain mezzanines, and operable roll-up glass garage doors. The third floor boasts a wrap-around terrace with incredible views of downtown Phoenix, Tempe Butte, and ASU’s campus.
